Fortnite’s Season 2 just recently ended on April 30 this year. The game, which released by Epic Games, is currently planning for Season 3. It looks like Fortnite is preparing a few surprises for the fans in this season with the appearance of a trident in the game, Aquaman’s main weapon.

This news surely rise speculations and attention from Fortnite fans. Many people believed that the Aquaman who will appear in the game won’t be the comic version of the character, but instead the Aquaman as he appeared on the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) played by Jason Momoa.

This theory somehow received indirect confirmation from Momoa. Not long after the Season 3 trailer resurfaced, Momoa shared a few trailer screenshots on his Instagram. From one of the screenshots shared, it was clear that he shared Aquaman’s signature trident that makes fans sparks in joy.

So far, there’s no direct confirmation from Epic Games or even DCEU regarding the arrival of the character in the game. But if the prediction is right, this will be the second time for the game to feature superheroes in it. In previous seasons, Fortnite often shared a few obtainable Marvel and DC skins.

The last superhero to appear in the game before Aquaman was Deadpool in April. Not only appeared as a skin, but Deadpool also brought various Challenges for players to complete.
