Developer and publisher 11 bit studios announced its upcoming game titled Frostpunk 2 to be launched on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in the first half of 2024, and followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version at a later date. This game will also be available for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass after its release. Frostpunk 2 was first announced on August 12, 2021, and the story will take place 30 years after the “Great Storm” on the first game.

As mentioned previously, the game's story takes place 30 years after the apocalyptic blizzard that occurred in Frostpunk. Earth is still plagued by incessant frosts and a harsh, cold climate. You will play as the leader of a resource-hungry metropolis where expansion and internal conflict are an unavoidable reality. Every decision you make will be a decision that will determine the future of your city and face every consequence, so you must carefully consider each community's needs and demands.

In Frostpunk 2, you can build cities on a new scale by creating each district with different objectives. You must ensure that every part of the city works together well and research existing technological advances to direct the progress of your citizens.

Frostpunk 2 is currently slated to arrive on PC in the first half of 2024 and will be available day one with PC Game Pass and then with Xbox Game Pass once it releases on Xbox Series X|S.
