Ubisoft is one of the biggest names in the video game industry that is both a game developer and a publisher. The company has subsidiaries around the world and came up with so many well-known games and franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Rayman, and Far Cry. The company was established in France in 1986 as a small selling business that eventually grew into a giant video game company with its first game Trivial Pursuit.
Followed by the arrival of Rayman, this company gradually rose to prominence and continues to generate huge profits to this day. Of the many games that Ubisoft developed and published, on this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you a list of the highest-selling games from Ubisoft. Without further ado, let's get into it.
10. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has officially recorded 45 million registered players on all platforms provided. But that doesn't neccessarily mean it sold 45 million copies. The latest data from Ubisoft, shows that this game has sold more than 10 million copies, and could still continue to grow. Although the initial sales were mediocre, with the post-release version of the game and constant updates, the number of players have multiplied since its launch. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is also one of the most popular esports games.
9. Watch Dogs 2
Following the huge success of the first title, Ubisoft decided to continue this franchise. Just like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, the sequel to the Watch Dogs series to date has sold more than 10 million copies. And although it is a relatively new game, the number of sales and players continues to increase every day. Sales of this game are similar to its predecessor game and the third entry, namely Watch Dogs: Legion.
8. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
This game is a sequel to its predecessor, Assassin's Creed Origins. The game has a time and place setting that goes back several hundred years BCE in Ancient Greece, during the Peloponnesian War between Sparta and Athens. Like the previous game, this game managed to sell more than 10 million copies, of which 40 percent of sales were made digitally. These sales can still increase considering that this game was only published in 2018.
7. Assassin's Creed 3
It looks like the Assassin's Creed franchise is still the favorite of many video game fans. Because the Assassin's Creed series has some of the greatest video games ever made, even every installment of the series always receives positive responses from gamers. Assassin's Creed 3, on the other hand, might receive a lot of criticisms, but this game is still a blast to play, as evidenced by the game's total sales of 12 million copies. Connor is an interesting character, and exploring his story in the game is a breath of fresh air as players started to get bored with Ezio.
6. Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time
Perhaps the Assassin's Creed series is one of Ubisoft's biggest franchises, but that series would never have made it without the Prince of Persia trilogy. The first game in the series, Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time, is an extraordinary title that amazed players upon its release. The smooth animation and its platformer genre, coupled with the intense combat mechanics make this game an absolute masterpiece that many fans still love to this day. This is evident from the sales of the game, which reached 14 million copies, and to this day it still stands firmly as one of the greatest action platformer games ever made.

5. Assassin's Creed 4
There are many great titles in the Assassin's Creed series, one of which is Black Flag. This game follows the journey of Edward Kenway, a pirate who slowly discovers the order of Assassins while traveling on the high seas. This game's open-world exploration is in a class of its own, and proves that land and sea combat can actually work. Black Flag is definitely the high point for the series, and many would argue that Assassin's Creed has never reached this level of success with its later entries. This can be evidenced by game sales reaching 15 million copies.
4. Tom Clancy's The Division
Tom Clancy's The Division is an online game published in 2016. The story is set in the open-world setting of Manhattan, where a viral pandemic causes chaos. Ubisoft announced that this game managed to set many records for the company, such as the highest number of first-day sales and being the best-selling game in the company. Not to mention the sales that reached 20 million copies and can still continue to increase. This game even managed to occupy all the major markets namely the UK, Japan, and the United States which made Ubisoft huge profits.
3. For Honor
For Honor is one of the biggest success of online duel games. This game adopts an experimental combat system from Ubisoft, although it wasn't well received at first, the sales of the game have increased over time. This hard-to-grasp yet original combat system, managed to make a big step out of this series. It is evident from the total sales of the game which reached 21 million copies, it continues to attract players as the game system improves.
2. The Crew
This racing game is another successful adventure game from Ubisoft. Not inferior to similar games of its ilk such as Need for Speed and Forza Horizon, The Crew found its footings on the list of the best racing games, which was certainly quite surprising. The game has sold over 21 million copies, and the fact that it's managed to carve out their reputation across a number of different genres is definitely commendable.
1. Far Cry 5
Far Cry 5 carries the same concept of the previous entries from its franchise. The story is set in the open world of Montana where a doomsday cult has taken over the country. This installment was done exclusively by a Ubisoft subsidiary. The game was the fastest-selling game in the Far Cry franchise, earning over $300 million in its first week of release. Far Cry 5 has managed to achieve sales of more than 25 million copies to date and makes this 2021-released game as the best-selling game from Ubisoft.
