Bandai Namco announced on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 that a new free-to-play FPS (First-Person Shooter) game titled Gundam Evolution will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in North America, Europe, and Japan in 2022. Gundam Evolution will also be launched for PC in several Asian regions.

In North America and Europe, the game will be available on Steam. The company Bandai Namco released the announcement trailer, which features a remixed version of the main theme song performed by Steve Aoki:

Bandai Namco also aired a trailer showing the various skills of its character.

Bandai Namco will be holding a closed network beta test for the PC version from April 7 to 2, 2022. Players can register to be the beta tester from March 9 to 28, 2022. Beta tests for other platforms will also be held at a later date. 

Gundam Evolution is a team-based FPS genre featuring 6v6 PvP (Player versus Player) battles by presenting the currency "EVO Coin". The game will feature 12 playable Gundam units, including the RX-78-2 Gundam and the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos.

In addition to "EVO Coins", players can also earn "Capital Points" when they play this game, which they can use to unlock mobile suits and cosmetic items to use in the game. This game will feature three modes, namely Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction.
