The Steam version itself was released in August 2016 but only has 547 active Steam players because accounts on the old launcher can't be linked to the Steam version.

This Chinese game made by developer YC Games has a gameplay similar to Kingdom Under Fire. You and your teammates choose a hero (inspired by historical figures and legends) then when entering a match each hero will be followed by a group of warriors who help you fight against the enemy team. A must try for those who miss Kingdom Under Fire or want to play a colossal war-themed title. In the last 24 hours there were about 598 people who played this game.

3. KurtzPel

Developed by KOG, the developer of Grand Chase and Elsword Online, KurtzPel not only features extensive character customizations but also a fun hack-and-slash mechanics with a job/Karma system that can be swapped at will. Unfortunately, the player base hates the focus more PVP and pay-to-win focus this game took. The number of players now settled in the range of 348 people when this article was written.

A fairly popular hack-and-slash MMORPG title on Steam, with 4,429 active players. With beautiful anime visuals and exciting gameplay, Soulworker also features more than 100 dungeons that are ready to challenge your PVE combat skills.

5. Bleach: Brave Souls

In addition to anime-style games, there is also a real anime adaptation hack-and-slash on Steam. One of them is Bleach: Brave Souls which has 2,967 active players at the moment. Produced by Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda51, creators of the eccentric No More Heroes and Killer7 series, this free-to-play title is no less unique. Guided by Uncle Death (who calls you "Senpai"), you are assigned to enter the Tower of Barbs filled with brutal people and terrible monsters to get the mysterious treasure at its peak. This game has 159 active players.
