Gamestat, a website that records all of the uploads to the PlayStation Store, has found data that indicates that a remastered version of the legendary PlayStation Portable (PSP) game, Patapon 2, will be available for PS4 soon. If the rumor to be believed, this will be good news for the fans of the music-based RPG in a decade after its inception.

This is actually not the first rumor about the remastered version of Patapon. Previously in 2017, there’s a rumor that the first edition of Patapon will be available for PS4, but in the latest rumor circulating on Friday (27/12), it’s Patapon 2 that will be getting a remastered version for PS4.

For those of you who don’t know, whether the first Patapon or Patapon 2, you will be playing as the leader of troops assigned to hunt down some giant creatures. The gameplay of Patapon is so distinctive as you have to follow the background music’s rhythm to carry out attacks.

Not just a compelling gameplay, this game also offers a minimalistic look yet so unique and entertaining. With the combination of the things mentioned above, this game has gained a lot of fans and became one of the must-have games for those who own a PSP or a PS Vita.

Alas, the game that was created by Sony Japan didn’t last for long, since the console itself wasn’t very successful. Fortunately, Sony apparently has not forgotten Patapon and seems to revive it for PS4.
