Koei Tecmo as the developer of the game has decided to partner up with LINE and announced that they’re working on a new mobile game for the Monster Rancher (Monster Farm) franchise titled "LINE: Monster Rancher", which will be released for Android and iOS. The game will be released this year in Japan, however, the global release date is yet to be announced.
The game will have monsters from Monster Rancher and Monster Rancher 2. However, the game will feature entirely unique visuals with new graphics. Aside from that, you will also have access to new features such as sending bred monsters out on expeditions.
Other features include the ability to form teams of monsters and participate in ranked battles. However, one thing that remains the same is the training system from previous entries in the Monster Rancher series. You will have to balance how much you push and pamper your monsters as it will determine how they perform in tournaments.

Monster Rancher was first released in 1997 on PlayStation, followed by Monster Rancher 2 in 1999 on PlayStation. The game was then released in North America in August 1999 and in Europe in October 2000. The latest entries of this series, Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX were launched in December 2021 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Japan, and on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and iOS devices globally.
