Touhou Danmaku Kagura Mobile Game to End Service on 28 October 2022
Touhou Danmaku Kagura will continue to add new songs and content until the end of its service.

Unknown X announced that its rhythm mobile game, Touhou Danmaku Kagura of the Touhou Project franchise, will end service on 28 October 2022. The devs stated that it would be difficult to operate Touhou Danmaku Kagura in a way that is satisfactory for customers. Touhou Danmaku Kagura will continue to add new songs and content until the end of its service.
FYI, Touhou Danmaku Kagura was launched on mobile in August 2021. The game has racked up more than 5 million downloads since its release.
The Japanese doujin developer, ZUN (founder and sole member of the Team Shanghai Alice dōjin game developer circle), and Mediascape released Touhou Koryudo: Unconnected Marketeers, the 18th main entry from the Touhou Project series, back in May 2021. This game is only available in Japanese.
Team Shanghai Alice released the first game in the series, titled Touhou: Highly Responsive to Prayers, in 1995 on the PC-98 platform. Ever since then, the series has been followed up with numerous main games, multiple spin-offs, and many fan-made works based on characters and stories from the series.
Playism released Touhou: Double Dealing Character in May 2015 as the first official release of any game in the Touhou Project series targeted at English-speaking territories. Playism, NIS America, and XSEED Games have released several fan-made games based on this franchise.
