Taunting is a common gesture to be made by players in the competitive scene, and it’s perfectly fine as a means to provoke the opposing team. However, surely no inappropriate taunting should ever be allowed. And, if a player crosses the line, they must be ready to accept the sanctions, as experienced by the MPL PH player, OHEB.
Yup, after his team (Blacklist International) won the match against Omega, OHEB seemed to give his middle finger to the camera. Due to the gesture he made, OHEB violated the rules of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League - Philippines Season 8 Official Rules 12.2.1, about making a prohibited pose.
Whereas the punishment that has been set by the MPL-PH Operations Committee for OHEB are:
- A (2) two-game ban in the MPL-PH from October 9;
- A $500 fine.
The MPL-PH Operations Committee also emphasized that they don’t tolerate any form of abusive behavior in the league. They expect all professional players to follow the code of conduct.
