Garena to Hold CODM World Championship 2021 Presented By Sony
Uniting the best COD Mobile (CODM) teams from around the world, the CODM World Championship 2021 Presented by Sony offers a prize pool of Rp28 billion.

As an event to encourage Indonesian esports talents, Garena as the leading global online game publisher, one of which is COD Mobile, presents an international esports tournament titled the COD Mobile (CODM) World Championship 2021 Presented by Sony.
This tournament offers a prize pool of more than $2 Million (equivalent to 28 Billion Rupiah) and is Garena’s clear effort to provide a platform for outstanding CODM players and compete as world-class esports athletes.
CODM Major Series Season 5 as a Starting Point
In Indonesia, Garena is opening registration for the Major Series Season 5 tournament which will start on July 8, 2021.
This tournament is a national-level qualifying round before proceeding to the Garena Region Qualifier tournament and finally heading to the CODM World Championship 2021 Presented by Sony.
For all Indonesian CODM players who want to be representatives of Indonesia, they can immediately register for the Major Series Season 5 through the in-game lobby starting July 5, 2021.
Players who register in this national-level tournament will receive an epic in-game prize in the form of a "2021 Competitor Frame" immediately after the registration process is complete. The following is the schedule for the Major Series Season 5:
Solo and Team Qualifiers
- Solo (July 8 - July 24)
Players who can score 60 points in 10 qualifying ranking matches during the 1st stage phase (July 8 to July 24, 2021) will proceed to the team play stage.
- Team (July 29 Juli - August 8)
Each eligible player is allowed to create a new team or join a team of 5 or 6 players to compete in this round.
Please note that these cast members will form a single team for all activities in team play, so choose carefully.
Players will then play up to 30 ranked mode matches, and each win will earn points based on the average ranking of the participating team players.
National Qualifiers
- Elimination Rounds (August 11-14)
The top 256 teams from the solo rounds and the eligible teams, will compete in the elimination round. In this round, the competition will become fiercer because only the best 8 teams will proceed to the next round, which is the playoffs.
- Playoffs Rounds (August 17 - September 4)
Only the top 2 teams from the playoffs will advance to the grand final, and the next 4 teams will still compete in the semifinals to seize the opportunity to become the Major Series Season 5 champion and the Indonesian representative team.
- Grand Final Rounds (September 12)
In this final round, only the top 2 teams will be the representative teams of Indonesia in the Garena Region Playoffs and win the opportunity to become world-class esports athletes.
Regional Qualifiers (Garena Region Playoffs)
The top 2 teams from each of the 6 local qualifiers (Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand) will join the Garena Region Play-off tournament.
The twelve teams have to compete to be the sole Garena Region representative at the CODM World Championship 2021 Presented By Sony.
