HoYoverse announced that Genshin Impact will hold its first TCG Genshin Impact Genius Invokation Invitational Tournament in Asia in early 2024, with a prize pool of 500,000 CNY/approx. 69,900 USD. From January 11th to January 21st, the top 16 players from the Dynamic Cup in the People's Republic of China and the Prince Cup Tournament from three different Asian regions will be invited to compete in Shanghai.

The Invitational Tournament in Asia will be divided into two main phases, the team preliminary round and the elimination round. Both rounds use a double elimination format, meaning participants will be eliminated after losing the second match. In the team preliminary round, 16 players will be randomly divided into 4 teams, where they will play a series of best-of-three matches from January 11th to January 14th to compete for the top 8 positions.

The elimination round will take place from January 19th to January 21st and the 8 participants who qualify will compete in a more intense best-of-five match. On the final day, the champion will be determined through a best-of-seven match to win the trophy and the grand prize of 250,000 CNY.
