Speaking of the best duelist Champions, the name Fiora surely comes to mind for most of the players. These kinds of Champions are often used by seasoned players due to its complex mechanics. However, you can still master her mechanics by playing her frequently. Now, to help you with your learning curve, take a look at the following guide by Dunia Games.

1. Item Build

[Trinity Force]

Since Fiora is an aggressive Champion who requires high Cooldown Reduction and Movement Speed, you may want to get Trinity Force as early as possible. As for its effect, Trinity Force will grant her a bonus of 200% Physical Damage (Basic Attack) after using a Skill. Trinity Force also complements her Lunge (1) really well.

[Mercury’s Treads]

For her boots, you can purchase Mercury’s Treads for Fiora. With the fact that Fiora tends to be really squishy once she’s stunned, the reduction of CC duration by 30% from wearing Mercury’s Treads will help her greatly to escape from her enemies. This item also helps her to become more aggressive against Champions who rely heavily on CCs.

[Death’s Dance]

Since the Marksman meta in Wild Rift is all about Attack Speed+lifesteal, you can get Death’s Dance to go up against them. With the bleed effect of the 30% damage taken for over 3 seconds, enemy Marksman will be overwhelmed by you.

Death's Dance also offers 300% HP, 35 Attack Damage, and 10% Cooldown Reduction -- making her even more deadly although it doesn’t only give you Attack Damage.

[Sterak's Gage]

Since you can’t find Tiamat in Wild Rift, you can get Sterak's Gage instead. This item helps Fiora to be tankier and more difficult to kill. As for its Passive, it gives her a shield that absorbs 75% of her bonus HP when her HP goes down below 35% for 3s.

And, this item can only be used by melee Champions. So, don’t expect to equip your Marksman with Sterak's Gage.

[Blade of Ruined King]

For her next item, you may want to get the Blade of the Ruined King. This item will grant Fiora a 30% bonus attack speed and 30 Attack Damage. Blade of the Ruined King is also useful for her since it has a Passive effect, which reduces 25% of the target’s movement speed who has been hit by his 3 basic attacks.

[Guardian Angel]

To make yourself tankier, you can pick Guardian Angel. This item will provide you with 40 armor and 45 Attack Damage and the Resurrect Passive effect.

You can get resurrected with 50% HP and 30% of max mana. However, this item has a 3-minute cooldown. So it’d be better to get it in the later phase of the game.

[Upgrade Mercury Treads: Quicksilver Enchant]

For her boots upgrade, you may want to pick Quicksilver Enchant. This item has an Active effect that removes all crowd control effects instantly. Perfect for Fiora who’s susceptible to the enemy Support’s stun and root.

2. Rune

[Conqueror]

Fiora needs high Damage to finish off her targets quickly. Therefore, you can pick Conqueror as her Rune. Its Passive grants her 2-6 bonus damage (based on level) stacking up to 5 times -- for a maximum of 10 - 30 bonus Attack Damage (based on level).

[Triumph]

For the Domination rune, you can pick Triumph for its 10% additional HP after getting a Champion takedown. It also grants her 3% increased damage to enemies with below 35% HP.

[Hunter - Titan]

While Fiora is arguably a lethal Champion, she still needs HP to sustain against the enemy Marksman. Therefore, Hunter - Titan will come in handy, especially for the 20 bonus max HP and 4% Tenacity for each unique takedown.

[Hunter - Genius]

With Hunter - Genius as her Inspiration Rune, Fiora will receive a 2.5% bonus cooldown reduction. Also, unique takedowns will grant her a 1.5% bonus cooldown reduction. This Rune synergizes greatly with Fiora’s skill set, especially with her Lunge (1).

3. Spells

[Flash]

Flash is a Spell for the people. Almost every Champion uses this Spell to chase down enemies or escaping from them. However, this cooldown for Spell is quite long, 150s.

[Ignite]

Ignite greatly benefits Fiora in duels. You can use Ignite when the enemy HP is critically low, as it will burn your target with 60-410 true damage (based on level) for 5s -- finishing off your target when they try to escape the team fight.

4. Combo

In terms of her combo, Fiora relies heavily on her Passive, Duelist's Dance. This Passive allows her to identify enemy Champions’ Vitals. Each time Fiora successfully strikes a Vital, she inflicts bonus Damage. So, here’s the combo:

Grand Challenge (Ultimate) -> Lunge (1) -> Blade Work (3) - Basic Attack 2x -> Lunge (1)

5. Gameplay

  1. Always strike enemies’ Vitals with Lunge (1);
  2. Don’t panic if you didn’t manage to strike their Vitals;
  3. Use Riposte (2) to parry enemies’ stuns, while also reflecting the stun to an enemy.
