When it comes to a beginner-friendly Champion, Ashe will surely be the best example of it. The Freljordian beauty has a simple yet effective skillset that is easy to grasp for any newbies -- unlike Vayne or Ezreal who are a bit difficult to master. Now, to get a better grasp of this Champion, take a look at the following guide by Dunia Games.
1. Item Build
[Blade of Ruined King]
For her first item, you can pick the Blade of the Ruined King. This item will grant her 30% Attack Speed and 30 Attack Damage. Blade of Ruined King also suits Vayne well because of its Passive, which reduces the enemy’s Movement Speed by 25% who are hit by her 3 basic attacks.
[Gluttonous Greaves]
For her boots, Ashe needs lifesteal to give her a bigger chance to fight against enemy Fighter or Assassin. This lifesteal will also help Ashe to farm in the jungle (if you desperately need another source of gold).
[Runaan's Hurricane]
For her next item, you may want to get the Runaan's Hurricane, which will increase both of her attack speed and critical chance. Runaan's Hurricane will come in handy for Ashe to poke her enemies with its Passive, which makes her basic attacks strike 2 additional nearby enemies with 40% Physical Damage each.
[Infinity Edge]
While Attack Speed and Critical Strike are her main focus, Ashe still needs to improve her Attack Damage. Therefore, Infinity Edge is a great choice for her core item.
This particular item increases your Critical Stike Damage with +60 Attack Damage and +25% Critical Strike Chance. However, this item is rather expensive. So, it may take a while to get this item.
[Phantom Dancer]
As for the next item, you may want to get the Phantom Dancer. This item will provide Ashe some sustain with an additional 240-590 (based on level) shield when your HP reaches below 35%. Aside from that, it also provides her with 45% Movement Speed and 25% Critical Chance.
[Guardian Angel]
To make it even harder to kill her, getting the Guardian Angel may be a great idea. This item grants you 40 Armor and 45 Attack Damage and the Resurrect Passive effect.
You can get resurrected with 50% HP and 30% base mana. However, this item has a 3-minute cooldown. So it’d be better to get it in the later phase of the game.
[Upgrade Gluttonous Greaves: Quicksilver Enchant]
For her boots upgrade, you can get Quicksilver Enchant. This item has an Active effect that removes all Crowd Control effects instantly. Perfect for Ashe who tends to be the main target for the enemies in team fights.
2. Rune
[Fleet Footwork]
For her Keystone Rune, you can pick Fleet Footwork. This Rune gives Ashe additional Movement Speed, heal, and Damage after getting 100 stacks. These stacks are generated by moving and using basic attacks on enemy Champions or minions.
[Triumph]
For Domination, you can pick Triumph to restore 10% missing HP for each Champion takedown. It also offers a 3% increased Damage to enemies below 35% HP.
[Regeneration]
Next, you can use Regeneration to make her sustain longer in the lane. The Passive this rune offers allows you to regenerate 2% missing HP or Mana every 3s (based on whichever percentage is lower).
[Manaflow Band]
For her last Rune, you may want to get the Manaflow Band, which increases her maximum Mana by 30 (up to 300) when she lands a hit on an enemy Champion with an ability or empowered attack.
3. Spells
[Flash]
Flash is a Spell for the people. Almost every Champion uses this Spell to chase down enemies or escaping from them. However, this cooldown for Spell is quite long, 150s.
[Heal]
Heal is a Spell that restores the user 80-360 HP (based on level) as well as a 30% bonus movement speed for 1s. It also heals nearby allies.
Therefore, Heal is usually taken by one player in the team, which is the Marksman or AD Carry.
4. Combo
Ashe doesn’t have to rely much on combos. She’s a Marksman Champion who relies on Basic Attacks to bring down her targets. However, just to be safe, here’s her basic combo:
Enchanted Crystal Arrow (Ultimate) -> Volley (2) -> Basic Attack -> Ranger's Focus (1)
5. Gameplay
- In the early game, it’d be smart to max out Volley (2) first, so you can have a better trade with your opponent, especially in the laning phase;
- Since Ashe has a long-range attack distance, don’t hold back from poking your enemies using her Basic Attack. Landing Basic Attacks will also help you gain stacks for Ranger's Focus (1);
- Use Hawkshot (3) to reveal the enemy Jungler, or to reveal the situation on objectives such as Dragon or Rift Herald.
- Don’t use Enchanted Crystal Arrow (Ultimate) exclusively on an enemy in your lane. You can also use this Skill to help out allies in other lanes.
