Warrior Boots

For his first item, you should pick the boots item called the Warrior Boots for its additional Movement Speed and Physical Armor. With this item, Balmond will find it easier to win duels thanks to the additional Armor.

Another alternative is the Tough Boots, which provides Magic Resist and lowers CC duration.

Cursed Helmet

After getting Warrior Boots, the next thing that you should get is the Cursed Helmet, a defense item that synergizes well with Balmond’s playstyle. This item increases HP, Magic Resist, and has a Passive that inflicts 2% of your max HP as Magic Damage to nearby opponents per second.

It increases Physical Attack by 9 and Physical Penetration by 3 for 3 seconds, to a max of 8 stacks; at full stacks, increases Movement Speed by 20%.

Bloodlust Axe

Bloodlust Axe is a crucial item for heroes who relies on their skills like Balmond. It offers a 20% Spell Vamp, which allows him to recover a good amount of his health by using his skills.

Aside from that, Bloodlust Axe also increases his Physical Attack by 70 points and offers a 10% Cooldown Reduction.

Queen’s Wings

To help him sustain longer while also increasing his damage output, you can get Queen’s Wings for Balmond. This item offers 1,000 HP, 15 Physical Attack, and a 10% Cooldown Reduction.

What makes this item so useful for Balmond is the Passive it offers, which grants 40% Damage Reduction and 40% Physical Lifesteal when his HP reaches 40%.

Emblem

Assassin Emblem Set

Although he’s mainly a Fighter, this emblem works wonders for Balmond as it increases Physical Attack, Physical Penetration, Critical Chance, Cooldown Reduction, and Movement Speed.

1st Tier Talent: Agility

Movement Speed is one of the most crucial attributes for Fighters like Balmond to help him roam effectively. Therefore, you can go for Agility to increase his Movement Speed by 2% per level.

2nd Tier Talent: Invasion

Battle Spell

Execute

Execute is the best spell for Balmond to help him finish off a low-health target with up to 500 true damage and 10% of their missing health. Therefore, he can secure kills before his targets escape.

Combo

Soul Lock (1) → Cyclone Sweep (2) → Lethal Counter (U). Use Soul Lock to close in on your targets, then follow up with Cyclone Sweep until they’re low on health, and finish with Lethal Counter or Execute if necessary.

Gameplay

1. Don’t hesitate to dive towers if there are enemy’s Minions as Balmond is able to restore 8-20% HP from killing Minions or enemy Heroes;
2. Always use Lethal Counter (U) when your target’s low to maximize the damage;
3. You can also use Lethal Counter (U) to steal objectives like Turtle or Lord.
