1. Item Build

[Trinity Force]

Since Xin Zhao is an aggressive Champion, the first item you want to get is the Trinity Force to increase his max HP, Attack Damage, Attack Speed, max Mana, and Cooldown Reduction. Trinity Force will also grant him a 200% bonus Physical Damage (Basic Attack) after using a Skill.

[Ninja Tabi]

For his boots, you can pick the Ninja Tabi for its bonus Armor and a Passive that allows him to block 10% damage from Basic Attacks. Thus, Xin Zhao will not receive that much damage, especially from the enemy Marksman.

[Death’s Dance]

Next, you can get the Death’s Dance for Xin Zhao to make his opponents overwhelmed since its Passive grants bleed effect for 3s from 30% of the damage taken. The bleed effect will bring trouble to the enemy Marksman.

Aside from that, Death’s Dance also offers 300 max HP, 35 Attack Damage, 10% Cooldown Reduction, and 10% Physical Vamp.

[Sterak’s Gage]

Sterak’s Gage is the perfect defense item for Xin Zhao to help him get tankier. Sterak’s Gage offers 400 max HP, as well as a Passive which grants 50% bonus base Attack Damage.

In addition to that, Sterak’s Gage also has a Passive that grants you Shield of 75% of your bonus HP when your HP reaches below 35%, and when the Shield is active, Xin Zhao will get 30% Tenacity for 3s.

[Conqueror]

For his Keystone, you may want to pick Conqueror for its 2-6 bonus damage (based on level) and stacking up to 5 times for a maximum of 10 - 30 Attack Damage (based on level). Therefore, Xin Zhao will have tremendous additional Attack Damage.

[Triumph]

For Domination, you can get Triumph to restore 10% of your lost HP after taking down a Champion. There’s also another effect that grants you 3% bonus damage against enemies below 35% HP.

[Mastermind]

3. Spells 

[Smite]

As a Jungler, Xin Zhao has to pick Smite to speed up his jungling process and receive an additional 20% exp from killing jungle monsters.

[Flash]

Flash is a Spell that works well for any Champion. Almost every Champion uses this Spell to chase down enemies or escaping from them. However, this cooldown for Spell is quite long, 150s.

4. Combo

You can use this simple combo in ganks or chasing down enemies.

Audacious Charge (3) > Wind Becomes Lightning (2) > Three Talon Strike (1) > Basic Attack.

5. Gameplay

1. Always go for a gank when it’s possible since Xin Zhao has exceptional gank abilities.
2. Always use Audacious Charge (3) first before chasing down your targets to slow them down while also increasing his Attack Speed.
