Ziggs is not the most popular Champion in Wild Rift, yet he can make immense damage, coupled with his long attack-range. Now, you might have a difficult time trying to get a grasp of this Champion, or still finding the best build for him. Well, look no further, and check out this article by Dunia Games.

1. Item Build

[Luden's Echo]

For his first item, you can pick Luden's Echo. It gives Ziggs a better chance to survive in the early game with its 80 ability power, 10% cooldown, and 300 mana. As for its Passive, Luden's Echo provides him 100 bonus Ability Power after reaching 100 stacks of Discord (by moving and casting abilities).

[Ionian Boots of Lucidity]

For his boots, you may want to pick the Ionian Boots of Lucidity for its additional 10% Cooldown. This additional Cooldown is very useful for a Mage, especially for Champions like Ziggs who can make deadly combos with his skills.

[Infinity Orb]

For the next item, you can get the Infinity Orb. This item grants you 60 additional Ability Power and 200 HP. As for its Passive, Infinity Orb provides a 5% bonus Movement Speed and 15 Magic Penetration. Another Passive that this item offers is 20% bonus Critical Damage against enemies with less than 35% health.

[Morellonomicon]

You can buy Morellonomicon after getting the Infinity Orb. This item provides additional 70 Ability Power and 300 HP -- making you tankier. Morellonomicon also works amazingly against Champions who rely on lifesteal in team fights because of its Grievous Wounds -- an effect that reduces the enemy’s health regen.

[Rabadon's Deathcap]

To make it even more difficult for enemies to survive your attack, you can have a massive boost of Ability Power from Rabadon's Deathcap. Despite its high price, this item is totally worth buying for its additional 130 Ability Power. Not to mention its Passive, which grants you 40% bonus Ability Power (of your total Ability Power). Even Tanks will find it difficult to withstand Ziggs’ attacks with Rabadon's Deathcap.

[Void Staff]

Next, you may want to get Void Staff. This item is crucial in the late game, because, the Tanks would’ve already equipped themselves with a magic-resist item, thus it would be harder for you to dish out some damage on them. In terms of its effect, this item grants you 70 Ability Power with a Passive that provides you 40% magic penetration.

[Upgrade Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Stasis Enchant]

Since he’s a Mage, Ziggs is very squishy, especially if he’s targeted by Assassins like Master Yi or Zed. Therefore, you can upgrade your Ionian Boots of Lucidity to Stasis Enchant. It allows you to become invulnerable for 2.5s.

2. Rune

[Electrocute]

As a Mage, Ziggs desperately needs to rely on burst damage to take down his enemies as quickly as possible. So, you may want to pick Electrocute as his Keystone. By hitting enemies three times (basic attacks and ability power), the target will be struck by lightning, inflicting them 30-184 damage (based on level); (40% bonus Attack Damage); (25% Ability Power).

[Champion]

Due to Ziggs’ insane damage, you can pick Champion as his Domination. This Rune will grant him additional damage against Champions of 10%, yet you will lose 5% each time Ziggs dies until the bonus disappears.

[Regeneration]

For his next Rune, you can pick Regeneration to give Ziggs some sustain. Its Passive allows you to regenerate 2% missing health or mana every 3s (based on whichever percentage is lower).

[Manaflow Band]

As for his last Rune, you should take Manaflow Band, which increases your maximum mana by 30 (up to 300) when he lands an ability or empowered attack on an enemy Champion.

3. Spells

[Flash]

Flash is a Spell that works well for any Champion. Almost every Champion uses this Spell to chase down enemies or escaping from them. However, this cooldown for Spell is quite long, 150s.

[Ignite]

Ignite greatly benefits Ziggs in duels. You can use Ignite when the enemy HP is critically low, as it will burn your target with 60-410 true damage (based on level) for 5s -- finishing off your target when they try to escape the team fight.

4. Combo

Ziggs’ combo isn’t as complex as Assassins tend to have. He actually doesn’t rely too much on his combos as he’s the type of Champion who relies on poking damage. However, you can use this basic combo to get the best out of your damage.

Hexplosive Minefield (3) -> Bouncing Bomb (1) -> Mega Inferno Bomb (Ultimate)

5. Gameplay

  1. Use Satchel Charge (2) to take down Turrets quickly -- use it when the Turret is down to 25% HP;
  2. Mega Inferno Bomb (Ultimate) inflicts more damage to targets in the middle of the area. So, make sure to master your Skillshot;
  3. Use Satchel Charge (2) to escape or get through obstacles.
