Alter Ego have defeated Bigetron in dramatic fashion. After falling behind 0-2, they have refused to give up, showing immense mental fortitude—and Rine has proven he can perform exceptionally well with a tank jungler.
Rine had been overwhelmed during the first two games while playing assassins. Fortunately, AE have realized it wasn't working and have made the adjustment, drafting Baxia as a first pick for the remaining three games.
This moment has brought back memories of Season 13, when Dreams and Hijumee orchestrated a legendary reverse sweep with EVOS. That déjà vu has become real once again, as both players have stepped up and carried Alter Ego to the next round.
Bigetron, after taking a 2-0 lead, have collapsed 2-3. Alter Ego have advanced and are set to face RRQ in the next phase.
Rine Shut Down, Bigetron Dominate Game 1
Alter Ego have been hit with shock therapy in Game 1. No one expected Bigetron to play so aggressively and deny Rine any breathing room.
As widely known, Rine has excelled in early-game playmaking—even on late-game heroes like Ling. But this time, he has been dismantled completely.
Bigetron’s teamfight composition has proven too strong. AE’s plan to pick off targets has failed entirely, and Rine has ended the game with a devastating 0-7-0 KDA. Even Hijumee's Selena has had no impact. Alter Ego have been demolished in Game 1.
BTR Tank Jungler Shines, Secures Game 2 Comfortably
In Game 2, Anavel has regained his signature tank jungler, securing Baxia. Bigetron have been one of the teams most comfortable with tank jungle META during the regular season.
That comfort has translated into superior rotations, pressure, and execution. Alter Ego have seemed lost, forced to pick Lancelot, which again hasn't worked.
AE have hesitated between playing aggressively or defensively. Baxia’s constant disruption and Kalea’s pick-off potential have caused problems. With strong execution, BTR have claimed Game 2.
Ineffective Barats, AE Steal Game 3
In Game 3, Bigetron have opted for Barats jungle—despite it being clearly less effective than Fredrinn or Baxia. As expected, Anavel’s Barats has been punished repeatedly and has lost rotational tempo.
Choosing Kimmy into Baxia has backfired, especially with Dreams pulling out Franco once again. Alter Ego have finally awakened.
Bigetron have lost the draft war, and Alter Ego have capitalized perfectly. AE have claimed their first point and forced Game 4.
Franco Dreams Strikes Again, AE Even the Score
Game 4 has heated up. With growing confidence, AE have locked in Franco once more. Dreams on Franco has always been a nightmare for opponents.
BTR have responded with a dangerous combo of their own. A back-and-forth game has unfolded, and AE have thrown a few teamfights when escorting the Lord, resulting in wipes.
But Hijumee has emerged as the hero. His Kimmy has caused chaos, and in the final moments, he has secured a crucial kill onto Emann’s Wanwan, giving AE the advantage they needed. Alter Ego have tied the series 2-2.
Angela-Baxia Combo Completes the Reverse Sweep
The final game has been decided from the draft. Coach REKT’s signature pick, Angela, has made a surprise appearance early in the draft, forcing Bigetron to respond with Floryn to match the jungle-tank sustain.
Unfortunately for BTR, they have stuck with Barats—again, to no effect. Alter Ego have gone all-in with aggression and have overwhelmed Bigetron completely.
Just when victory seemed within reach for Bigetron, Alter Ego’s ferocity has crushed their hopes. The reverse sweep has been completed, and Alter Ego have moved on to the next stage of MPL ID Season 15 Playoffs.
