EVOS vs ONIC had been one of the most anticipated matchups in Week 5 of MPL ID Season 15. Both teams had entered the match with inconsistency issues—but it was EVOS who had shown more progress and stability.

Despite having just reactivated Branz into the roster, EVOS had not fielded him yet. Instead, Erlan had remained the primary gold laner, while Natco had made his debut on the MPL stage as an EXP laner, replacing Regi.

It felt like EVOS had entered this match with a chip on their shoulders. After being heavily criticized for costly mistakes last week, they had cleaned up their gameplay significantly. Minimal errors, sharp execution.

And Natco had truly exceeded expectations, performing impressively in his new role. His impact had arguably surpassed that of Regi, particularly when it came to making aggressive plays.

Meanwhile, Erlan had received his comfort picks—Harith and Granger, heroes that had historically brought out his best performance. And once again, he did not disappoint.

What Nerf? EVOS Still OP in Game 1

In Game 1, EVOS had surprised many with their drafting decisions. They had picked Fanny and Harith early in the first phase, even though both heroes had received nerfs in the latest patch update.

With Erlan still on the field and Fanny having been a tricky pick for EVOS in the past, doubts had surfaced. Could they really make it work?

The answer was a resounding yes. EVOS had delivered an aggressive early game, suffocating ONIC from the get-go. Savero and Kairi had been completely shut down, unable to farm or scale properly.

Albert, playing Fanny, had gone wild, securing kill after kill and snowballing hard. EVOS had taken the first game convincingly.

EVOS vs ONIC Game 2: A Statement Victory

EVOS had closed the series 2-0, but Game 2 hadn’t been a walk in the park. ONIC had punished them during the early game, and for a while, it looked like the game might go the distance.

However, Erlan and Natco had stepped up once again. Erlan, this time, had managed to stay deathless while slowly building his momentum. Meanwhile, ONIC’s Kairi had miscalculated a 1v1 attempt against Albert in the bottom lane.

That failed kill attempt had triggered a chaotic teamfight, and EVOS had come out on top in the split engagement. From there, they began to control the game.

Their Lord management had looked sharp, and Natco’s initiations had been near-perfect, sealing the win for the White Tigers.
