The battle for third place in the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025 Esports World Cup pitted two new teams from the same organization: ONIC and ONIC Philippines. Both teams were forced to advance to the third-place match after losing in the semifinals.

ONIC Philippines lost to Selangor Red Giants OG Esports with a score of 2-3, while ONIC lost to Team Liquid PH with a score of 1-3. As a result, they faced each other to determine who would be the third-place and fourth-place winners. While unfortunate, they still had to compete.

MSC 2025 Results: ONIC PH Wins Duel Against ONIC, Takes Third Place

The third-place match took place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, just before the Grand Finals began. This new match for third place pitted two teams from the same organization, ONIC Esports. The match between ONIC PH and ONIC began.

In Game 1, ONIC PH appeared to dominate the game, with Claude Kelra and Selena Super Frince giving ONIC a hard time. ONIC PH continuously attacked the ONIC base. However, ONIC managed to survive every attack. The battle for the third Lord was crucial, with ONIC players being taken down one by one. However, ONIC PH was still unable to close out the game.

Onic PH secured the fourth Lord again, and Kelra and his teammates continued to attack the ONIC base. Kirk, with his Edith, managed to take down three ONIC players, and ONIC PH finally secured their victory in the 21st minute. Game 2 saw a reversal, with ONIC dominating the game.

Lancelot Kairi, coupled with Claude Savero and Kalea Kiboy, were key players. Lord after Lord was secured as they attempted to attack the ONIC base. A teamfight broke out in the 13th minute, with Sanz taking down Kirk, and Super Frince was defeated by Kairi.

Savero shone, Brusko and Kelra disappeared, and ONIC ultimately secured the second game. In game 3, the two teams appeared evenly matched. However, ONIC slowly managed to dismantle ONIC PH's turrets. The first Lord fell to ONIC PH, who attempted to gain momentum and attack the ONIC base. However, ONIC was able to hold on for a while.

The battle for the second Lord was crucial. Lancelot Kairi took down three ONIC PH players, and ONIC began to turn the tide. A 3v5 moment ensued, with ONIC seemingly in the lead, with the Lord attempting to breach the ONIC PH base. Lancelot Kairi struck again, taking down two ONIC PH players, and ONIC ultimately secured the third game to extend their lead.

In game 4, the two teams again appeared evenly matched. ONIC put up a tough fight, making it difficult for ONIC PH. Despite two Lord attacks, ONIC PH was still able to hold on. ONIC regained their third Lord, but ONIC PH was able to hold off the game again and again, allowing the game to continue.

A teamfight broke out in the 21st minute, with Kelra taking down two ONIC players. The ONIC PH players swiftly stormed the ONIC base, eventually equalizing the score, and Game 5 was decided. In Game 5, ONIC managed to take the lead early on.

However, ONIC PH tried to seize the momentum. The first Lord was stolen by K1NGKONG. The second Lord was stolen again, allowing K1NGKONG and his teammates to regain momentum. ONIC took a defensive stance, and a teamfight broke out in the ONIC base.

Lutpii was taken down, and Savero disappeared, giving ONIC PH a great opportunity to end the game. Ultimately, ONIC PH secured a 3-2 victory, finishing third, while ONIC finished fourth.
