MSC 2025 Results: ONIC and SRG OG Secure Tickets to the Knockout Stage

The Decider Matches for each group in the Group Stage of the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup took place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, where several new names appeared to be facing decisive matches that would either send them to the Knockout Stage or face their elimination.

First, Group A had two decisive matches: SRG OG Esports against CFU Gaming, and second, ONIC against Virtus Pro. As we know, SRG OG previously slipped up against Myanmar's Mythic SEAL, dropping to the lower bracket.

Meanwhile, ONIC suffered a similar fate, falling to the Lower Bracket against Team Liquid PH, where they faced Virtus Pro from the Wild Card Stage. Both matches will be played in a best-of-three (BO3) series.

In the first match, between SRG OG and CFU Gaming, the two teams appeared evenly matched early on. However, SRG OG managed to gain control of the Turtle and dismantle several CFU turrets. SRG OG captured the first Lord, and a straight push was attempted, but CFU still managed to hold on. The game resumed, with KRAMM falling, and CFU trying to build momentum.

Instead of mounting a counterattack, CFU was cornered after Stormie, with his Kimmy assisted by Innocent, took down three CFU players. Two players remained, Oppi and Boxi, but SRG OG chose to retreat to take the second Lord. The onslaught resumed towards the CFU Gaming base.

Ultimately, SRG OG secured Game 1. In Game 2, SRG OG dominated, taking control from the early stages. Innocent's Granger play was truly unfathomable, leading to a Savage. SRG secured the second Lord, and Sekysss and his teammates immediately attacked CFU's base.

Granger Innocent struck again, shattering CFU's defense. Finally, SRG OG secured Game 2, sealing a perfect 2-0 victory for SRG OG and advancing to the Knockout Stage. The second match, between ONIC and Virtus Pro, began.

Dominating from the start, ONIC left Virtus Pro with no room to maneuver. While securing the first Lord, they failed to break through Virtus Pro's base. The combo of Sanz and Savero, along with Kimmy and Irithel, proved key to ONIC's success. With the second Lord secured, ONIC returned to attack Virtus Pro's base.

Kairi defeated Pluto, while Badkot and Bober were also eliminated, and ONIC secured Game 1. Moving into Game 2, ONIC dominated early on. However, Virtus Pro surprisingly put up a strong fight against ONIC, even repelling Kiboy and his teammates.

Virtus Pro secured two Lords, attempting to storm ONIC's base, but Sanz and his teammates held firm. Andoryuu was defeated, and ONIC attempted to build momentum for a comeback. Badkot and Bober were defeated again, paving the way for ONIC to take another step toward victory.

Onic eliminated all remaining Virtus Pro players, Pluto and Supergorka, and secured a wipeout. Finally, ONIC completed their victory with a perfect 2-0 score, sending Sanz and his teammates to the Knockout Stage, following SRG OG.
