Akai is one of the OG heroes in Mobile Legends who have received revamps on multiple occasions. Recently, Akai has been revamped once again on the Advanced Server, which brings some slight changes to his abilities to help him compete with other heroes in the META.

Revamped Akai

Passive - Tai Chi: After using a skill, Akai will gain a shield that absorbs up to 6% of his Max HP. Lasts 2 seconds. The effect activates every 2.5 seconds. Akai marks enemies with both his Skill 1 & 2 and can inflict extra damage to marked enemies with his Basic Attacks.

Skill 1 - Headbutt: After a short delay, Akai charges in the target direction, damaging enemies along the way and knocking the first enemy hero hit airborne, after which he can roll in the same direction once. If no enemy heroes are hit, he'll roll a short distance forward on the ground.

Skill 2 - Body Slam: Akai opens his arms and smashes the ground with his body, inflicting damage and a Slow effect on enemies in the area.

Ultimate - Hurricane Dance: Akai spins like a tornado for 3.5 seconds and knocks back the surrounding enemies, inflicting Physical Damage. Using this skill removes all Debuffs from Akai immediately. He also becomes immune to Slowing Effect in the duration and increases 30 Movement Speed.

Attributes

Since he’s a Tank, Akai boasts a high Durability, which is around 90%. This means that Akai has tremendous Defense and Max HP regardless of the build you choose for him. Akai can further increase his Durability with defensive items like Oracle.

Akai also has a decent Offense for a Tank. This implies that Akai can dish out a significant amount of damage using his abilities. However, a Damage-focused build isn’t that suitable for Akai as it reduces his potential in the game.

Akai’s Skill Effects are quite high, meaning that he can make a huge impact with all of his abilities considering that he has powerful CCs, especially his Hurricane Dance.

Yet Akai also has a quite high level of difficulty. It takes a good understanding of certain combos if you want to take advantage of the CC Akai has.

Release Date

The release date of Revamped Akai on Mobile Legends Original Server is yet to be announced given that this hero is still in development. It’s also likely that Revamped Akai will receive more changes before he’s eventually released on the Original Server.
