YouTube channel Disney+ Japan has released a trailer for Glen Milner's Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds documentary, announcing that the documentary will premiere in spring 2024. Disney+ has also confirmed that the Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds documentary will be available for viewing globally.

The documentary Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds previously premiered at the Tribeca Festival at The Indeed Theater, Spring Studios, New York City, on June 17th 2023.

Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds follows the creative journey of renowned game developer, Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid, Death Stranding), since the launch of his independent studio, Kojima Productions. Guest stars in this documentary include Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, George Miller, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, and Chvrches.

Kojima Productions announced their newest game entitled OD during The Game Awards. Kojima collaborated with movie director and comedian Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us, Nope) for this project. The game will feature actress Sophia Lillis (It, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).

Hideo Kojima, known for designing and writing the 1987 Metal Gear game, left Konami in December 2015, and founded his independent studio, Kojima Productions. The studio's first independent game, Death Stranding, was released for PlayStation 4 in November 2019 and a PC version in summer 2020.

The work received various awards including Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design and Outstanding Technical Achievement at D.I.C.E. 23rd Awards in February 2020. In November 2021, Kojima Productions also launched a new division focused on music, television, and movie in Los Angeles, California. Currently, the studio is actively developing the game Death Stranding 2.
