Amazon Prime Video has just released the latest episode of its animated anthology Secret Level, this time featuring Honor of Kings, the hit mobile game that combines intense action and strategy elements in a world full of legendary heroes.

The episode, titled The Way of All Things, takes us on an exciting journey that reveals the backstory of a new character, Yixing, the Master of Weiqi, who joins Honor of Kings as the newest hero.

Based on a short story by S.L. Huang and written by J.T. Petty, the episode follows Yixing from his childhood, as he learns the high-strategy game of Weiqi (known as Go outside of China).

As Yixing’s skills grow, he faces a major challenge that forces him to use his wits in a game that will determine the fate of the city of Chang’an, which is in danger of being destroyed.

In addition to introducing a new character, The Way of All Things offers a deeper look into the origins of Honor of Kings, using a distinctly Chinese aesthetic as its primary animation style.

This decision gives the game a strong identity while respecting Chinese culture, as well as introducing viewers who are unfamiliar with the game to its cultural background. One of the most interesting scenes is when Yixing is playing Weiqi.

With the introduction of Yixing's character, Honor of Kings not only brings the strategic elements of Weiqi to life, but also adds diversity to the gameplay and excitement for players.
