On 14 July 2020, HP announced its new gaming lineup known as OMEN. the company launched the new Omen 15 and an updated OMEN Command Center, designed to support gamer’s playing experience when using an OMEN device.

The new OMEN added a new portfolio to the HP gaming devices that are created and designed to give better gaming experience for Indonesian gamers who are practicing “PLay to Progress” at home.

“Gaming industry in Indonesia keeps on growing. As a social experience, gaming is a way to keep us entertained and unite people from different backgrounds even if they are a part,” Fiona Lee, Indonesia President Director, HP Inc, stated.

“HP is committed to support the growth of the gaming industry in Indonesia while expanding our world-class portfolio and improve gaming experience with the best and trusted innovations and strategic partnership in the industry,” Fiona added.

OMEN 15

Design-wise, Omen 15 has a metal-based body wrapped with aluminum, that looked elegant for a gaming laptop in its class. The laptop is packed with a 15,6-inch screen that can be opened to 180 degrees angle. The laptop has several options for resolution and refresh rate, IPS LCD 1080p, IPS LCD FHD 144 Hz, IPS LCD FHD 300Hz, and IPS LCD UHD 120Hz.

It also has an OLED display option, that’s combined with NVIDIA G-SYNC. Hardware-wise, HP Omen 15 is available with Intel Core i7 gen 10 or AMD Ryzen 7 4800H.

For the graphic card, Omen 15 is equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super Max-Q. For the RAM, HP Omen 15 2020 comes with a 16GB of RAM that’s upgradeable to 32GB DDR4-2933 for the Intel variant or DDR4-3200 for the AMD variant. For storage, HP Omen 15 2020 comes with SSD NVMe M.2 with a capacity of 512GB and upgradeable up to 2TB.

HP packed OMen 15 2020 with dual speakers by Bang & Olufsen with DTS X ultra feature. The laptop also has an RGB keyboard that can be configured with the Omen Command Center to change the lighting. Omen 15 also has a specially designed cooling system, Omen Tempest Cooling that is claimed to keep the laptop from overheating.

The other thing that separates the two variants is that the OMen 15 Intel variant has a num pad while the Omen 15 AMD variant doesn’t.

For availability and price, both Omen 15 Intel and AMD RYzen 4000 variants are available starting September 2020 with a starting price of Rp18.499.000 (Intel) and Rp20.999.000 (AMD).
