Lego is one of the exhibitors that will enliven the Indonesia Game Expo (IGX) 2024. According to its representative, Lego did this to keep them relevant. In addition, Lego is also very aware that the gamer community is currently very large so they don't want to miss this opportunity.

Interestingly, Lego admitted that they are currently focusing on developing products that come from video game IP. The hope is that Lego wants to make gamers interested in the product and buy it.

"Different from Andri who is a shopper, I am the one who sells it. Actually, in terms of brand, Lego wants to try to stay relevant to the market, with what the public or our customers are interested in," said Lego's representative, Icong.

"What attracts attention and is very serious about Lego is gaming. We know that gaming has a lot of fans, especially Gen-Z who are influenced by games," he continued.

Lego's Seriousness in Working on IP from Video Games is Nothing New

Icong further explained that Lego's seriousness in working on IP from video games is nothing new. Lego has been working on products from video game IP for the past two to three years. He hopes that this effort can bear fruit.

"Lego is aware of this phenomenon and we have focused on it for the past two or three years. It is proven that there are a lot of Lego items related to games. We started with Super Mario, then there was Minecraft, and the latest was Sonic, then Animal Crossing, and really only Zelda and Fornite," he said.

"We also don't forget about the past, we have played, and we have. Lego is the same, there are some whose ideas come from games in the past. Lego tries to stay relevant to the market. We want good sales. In addition to playing the game, we hope to play Lego too," he continued.
