Besides becoming an esport athlete, becoming a gaming streamer is also a popular occupation these days. However, how to become a good and successful streamer?

Here are some tips for you guys who want to be a professional streamer.

Join the Streaming Community

The problem that often faced by beginner streamers is how to gain the viewers’ attention. This might happened because beginner streamers often too focused on doing streaming and they forgot to interact with the other streamers and the communities.

If you are a beginner streamer, you must join several other streaming communities. Make sure that the community that you choose matches the target of the viewers that you are aiming. If you are planning to do streaming on PUBG, make sure you are involved in the same streaming community.

From the community, you will learn about the habits of the other streamers and also the subscribers. Another goal is to get acquainted and make bond with the community.

The purpose is that when you start streaming, someone else already knows your channel and is ready to help your channel grow.

Test Your Streaming Result First

Exactly before you do streaming, you need to do self recording. See how your performance in front of the camera, make sure that your audio works well and the game that you will play is running smoothly.

After the offline checking is complete, do the streaming with a second streaming account that is private and has no followers. The purpose is to make sure that your live streaming can run smoothly without any interruption.

The sound or appearance of the game in a live streaming is often problematic. To overcome this you need to change some of the settings that you use.

If you need to make changes to the settings, make sure you take note of any changes that you make. Apply these changes before you stream in your main account.

Make sure that there will be no dead air

Dead air is a radio term used when there is an unintended period of silence that interrupts a broadcast during which no audio or video program material is transmitted. Although you are not a radio announcer, you cannot let dead air on your streaming.

Many people assumed that streaming is an easy job. But when it comes to live streaming many people are silent in front of the camera. This will bore your viewers and they eventually will leave your channel.

Learn how to make conversation flow when doing live streaming. You can talk about your actions in the game or the reasons why you choose a specific character. You can also talk about things that make you interested in your characters.

These things will provoke your interaction with the audience. The higher the viewers’ interaction with you, the more time they will spend watching your streaming video.

Music as your savior

No matter how good you plan what you will talk about in front of the camera, dead air is still difficult to avoid. To help with this situation, make sure you have plenty of musics for the screen sounds so that dead air can be disguised.

But remember, your interaction will be the main value of your steam, not the music!

Fill out your profile completely

If you don't fill out your profile completely, the viewers will assume you rarely doing live streaming. This will make them think first before clicking on the "follow" or "subscribe" button.

Complete your streaming profile with only important details about yourself, such as; your streaming content, streaming rules, social media links and donation links. Make your streaming profile as professional as possible.

Work Hard and Patience!

These two things are the most important things to do when you do a streaming. Many people fail at this stage. Because their channel didn't get much viewers, many streamers decided to give up and close their channel.

You need to believe that many famous streamers start the first few months of their streaming without any viewers. A streamer once explained that your first 100 streams were just exercises towards the actual streaming.

Of course there will be some exception, there are also many streamers whose channels are popular since their first appearance. But believe me, that is a very small possibility, more streamers will succeed after being consistent with their work over the years.

Hopefully with this information your channel can be better. What other information about streaming that you want to find out?
