There’s a lot of hype around the last couple of Borutp chapter. In the battle against Isshiki Otsusuki, Naruto shows a new transformation mode that was never seen before that may cause his death. In Boruto chapter 52, the name of the new mode is revealed to be Baryon Mode.

What is the Baryon Mode? And how strong is the transformation mode that may lead to Naruto’s death? Today, the writer will share some of the facts about Baryon Mode based on Boruto chapter 51 and 52. Let’s find out!

1. Baryon is the Name of Particle

For some, the name Baryon may sound familiar. But to others, the name may sound odd, especially in the Naruto and Boruto universe.

Baryon is the name of subatomic particles that are composed out of three quarls. The most common example is Proton and Neutron.

Why is the new mode of Naruto and Kurama named after subatomic particles? The answer is in the next point.

2. Baryon Mode: Chakra Fusion Similar to Nuclear Fusion

If Naruto’s Kurama Mode and Sage of Six Path Mode uses borrowed chakra (Kurama and Hagoromo), Baryon mode uses Naruto’s chakra and Kurama’s chakra that is combined to create new energy.

The fusion process is like the reaction that happened in the sun. Hydrogen and Helium fuse to create energy. Based on this chemical reaction, Kurama named the new mode Baryon Mode.

The new mode increases speed, reflex, attack power, and defense. Naruto in this mode can catch Isshiki’s quick attack that even Sasuke failed to see with his Sharingan.

3. Baryon Mode’s Side Effect

The sun generates big energy, but it also burns a lot of fuel. The same thing happens with the Baryon Mode. Naruto and Kurama’s chakras are absorbed every second. Prolonging the use of this mode will cause them to die because they ran out of chakra.

However, Kurama also explains to Naruto why this mode is deadly.

4. Baryon Mode Shorten the Enemy’s Age

Besides draining the user’s chakra, Baryon Mode also shortens the user’s age. Kurama also adds that Baryon Mode also shortens the age of anyone around the user.

It’s because of chakra’s interconnected nature. The chakra created from Baryon Mode greatly affects the chakra inside Isshiki’s body. Isshiki initially had 20 hours left to live and now he has only several minutes left because of the Baryon Mode.

5. The Reason Why Kurama Suggested Baryon Mode

There’s a reason why Kurama suggests using Baryon Mode. The Nine-Tailed Fox plans on taking advantage of the side effect to kill Isshiki. Knowing that Isshiki only has 20 hours left to live, Naruto has a bigger chance to live than Isshiki.

If Kurama told Naruto to use Baryon Mode when they were fighting Madara or Kaguya, then Naruto will be the first to die since their opponent has a longer lifespan.

That’s all of the facts about Baryon Mode based on Boruto chapter 51 and 52. The next chapter may reveal more about the Baryon Mode and you will see more facts about the mode on Dunia Games!
