Here is the Complete List of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Version Differences
Unlike the previous game series, it turns out that the exclusive Pokemon is not the only thing that distinguishes the Pokemon Sword and Shield version.

A new adventure in the Pokemon world will be opened soon when Pokemon Sword and Shield is officially release for Nintendo Switch next month. Both Pokemon Sword and Shield offer the excitement of the adventure in Galar Region, a new region in the Pokemon world full of new Pokemon.
Although they almost similar like the previous generation of Pokemon games, Pokemon Sword and Shield will have some differences that will offer a different experience, depending on which version that you decided to buy. Usually, two Pokemon games released at the same time have differences in the types of Pokemon that you can catch in the wild, but apparently that's not the only difference between Pokemon Sword and Shield.
If you are still confused to buy Pokemon Sword or Shield, here are the differences of each version in the game:
The Differences of the Gym in Each Version
For the first time in the history of the Pokemon game series, Pokemon Sword and Shield will have different Gym Leaders in each version.
If you play Pokemon Sword, you will challenge a Fighting-type Gym led by Bea. In the game description, Bea is a karate master who is also a Pokemon expert with Fighting type.
If you play Pokemon Shield, you will challenge a Ghost-type Gym led by Allister. She always wears white mask, Allister has been the leader of the Ghost-type in Pokemon Gym since she was young.
Of course besides these two Gym Pokemon, the Pokemon trainers will challenge the other Gym Pokemon both in Pokemon Sword or Shield.
Different Legendary Pokemon
Continuing the tradition of the Pokemon game series, Pokemon Sword and Shield will present different Legendary Pokemon mascots. Of course Legendary Pokemon not only distinguishes by the cover of Pokemon Sword and Shield but they also appear in the game as an exclusive Pokemon that can only be captured in one version of the game.
In the Pokemon Sword version you can find a Legendary Pokemon named Zacian. Just like the name of the game Zacian appeared with a sword in its mouth. In the description written by Pokemon Company, Zacian's sword can cut through anything.
As for the Pokemon Shield version, you will get a Legendary Pokemon named Zamazenta as the mascot. On Zamazenta’s neck, it has a shield-shaped body armor. In the description Zamazenta's shield is able to repel any attack.
Exclusive Pokemon for each version
Aside from have different Legendary Pokemon mascots, the most obvious difference from Pokemon Sword and Shield is the exclusive Pokemon which can only found in each version.
