The biggest Mobile Legends tournament in Indonesia, the Mobile Legends Professional League, also known as the MPL Indonesia has been running for 9 seasons over the past 4 years.

1. MPL ID Season 1 Winner: Team NXL

The inaugural season of the MPL ID took place in 2018, featuring thousands of teams from all across Indonesia. The first season of the MPL Indonesia was won by Team NXL after defeating EVOS Esports in the Grand Finals.

Team NXL was initially considered a mid-table team yet it managed to beat the title-favorite of the MPL ID Season 1.

2. MPL ID Season 2 Winner: RRQ O2

In the MPL ID Season 2, the rivalry between the teams began to form, especially the one between RRQ and EVOS. That season, RRQ, the team that didn’t particularly stand out before, enjoyed massive improvement at the end of the season.

In the Grand Finals, RRQ went up against EVOS Esports and came out as the winner in a 3-0 victory. EVOS Esports ended up as the runner-up for the second time.

3. MPL ID Season 3 Winner: ONIC Esports

Since the MPL ID Season 2, ONIC Esports had already become a considerable power due to the team’s great performances. In the third season, the team managed to improve its performance and won the MPL ID Season 3 after defeating Louvre in a 3-0 clean sweep.

Back then, ONIC Esports had the Five Kage; Udil, Psychoo, Sasa, Drian, and Antimage. 

4. MPL ID Season 4 Winner: EVOS Legends

Having previously been the runner-up in two seasons of the MPL Indonesia, in Season 4, EVOS Legends proved their worth as one of the best Mobile Legends teams in Indonesia.

EVOS Legends went up against RRQ Hoshi in the Grand Finals and got their revenge in a 3-1 triumph and brought home the MPL ID Season 4 trophy.

5. MPL ID Season 5 Winner: RRQ Hoshi

The rivalry between EVOS Legends and RRQ Hoshi got even more intense in the MPL ID Season 5. RRQ Hoshi and EVOS Legends once again met in the Finals. However, unlike the previous meetings, both teams were equally impressive. Yet EVOS Legends had to acknowledge the determination shown by its rival as RRQ Hoshi won the match 3-2.

6. MPL ID Season 6 Winner: RRQ Hoshi

In the MPL ID Season 6, RRQ Hoshi made history by winning the MPL three times, with two of them in two consecutive seasons.

The Finals between RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego proved to be one of the most intense as both teams played exceptionally well.

Game 5, the deciding game, was incredibly intense — for players and the audience as it went on for more than 40 minutes. But RRQ Hoshi eventually grabbed the last game and won the match in a 3-2 nail-biter.

7. MPL ID Season 7 Winner: EVOS Legends

It was a season full of surprises, including RRQ Hoshi which got eliminated, and Bigetron Alpha which finally made it to the Finals. However, Bigetron Alpha wasn’t strong enough to stop EVOS Legends as the team add another MPL title to its tally.

8. MPL ID Season 8 Winner: ONIC Esports

ONIC Esports enjoyed a consistent performance in the MPL ID Season 8 from the Regular Season to the Playoffs. Going up against the best team in the Finals, RRQ Hoshi, ONIC Esports managed to step up its game and won the MPL ID Season 8 with a 4-3 victory.

9. MPL ID Season 9 Winner: RRQ Hoshi

RRQ Hoshi once again proved its worth in the 9th season. RRQ Hoshi showed consistency from the Regular Season to the Playoffs and got their revenge against ONIC Esports with a 4-1 victory.

With that victory, RRQ Hoshi became the team with the most MPL Indonesia titles after winning the league in Season 2, 5, 6, and 9.
