A few days ago, Genshin Impact just had an update with patch 1.1, along with new features, content, and characters. The update brought some changes to the Genshin Impact character’s tier list.

The characters are ranked by 5 categories: Exploration; Boss; Dungeon; Abyss; and their Overalls.

So, who are the best and the weakest characters in Genshin Impact patch 1.1? Without further ado, let’s jump into it!

S-Tier

The characters in S-tier are highly recommended. They have particular strengths that other characters don’t have, as well as the abilities to boost the other characters’ potentials.

Here are the characters:

• Diluc (Main DPS);
• Klee (Main DPS);
• Tartaglia (Main DPS);
• Mona (Sub DPS);
• Xingqiu (Sub DPS);
• Venti (Utility);
• Qiqi (Utility);
• Bennett (Utility).

A-Tier 

The characters in A-tier are still considered powerful, yet not as good as S-tier characters. However, these characters are great alternatives for you if you don’t have any S-tier and they work great in Explorations, Domains, or Bosses.

Here are the characters:

• Keqing (Main DPS);
• Ningguang (Main DPS);
• Razor (Main DPS);
• Xiangling (Sub DPS);
• Fischl (Sub DPS);
• Jean (Utility).

B-Tier 

These characters are decent. Not amazing but not horrible either. You can still use these characters to fill the roles in your Party as some of them do have unique skills that can be useful in certain conditions.

Here are the characters:

• Beidou (Main DPS);
• Chongyun (Sub DPS);
• Sucrose (Utility);
• Barbara (Utility).

C-Tier

These characters are your last resort when you don’t have any better characters unless you love them and have the intention of having them as your waifu/husbando. The reason why these characters are in C-tier is that they have mediocre skills and it is quite hard to make the best out of their power.

So, here are the characters:

• Kaeya (Sub DPS);
• Traveler [Anemo] (Sub DPS);
• Lisa (Sub DPS);
• Traveler [Geo] (Utility);
• Noelle (Utility).

D-Tier

Up until now, Amber is still the only character in the lowest tier. This character does have sub-par skills and less effective in Explorations, Domain, and Bosses. Amber also can’t dish out great damage like the other characters.

Here’s the character in C-tier:

• Amber (Sub DPS).
