5. Sakura Haruno

Sakura is a candidate to be a Hokage. She is the best pupil of the fourth Hokage, Tsunade. Sakura inherits all of Tsunade’s ability as a medical shinobi. And the world recognized her medical technique is the best in the world.

Sakura is the Head of Konoha Medical Department. From her current position, it’s proven that she is a reliable leader. The villagers know Sakura, so it’s not surprising to see her become the next Hokage.

4. Konohamaru Sarutobi

Like Naruto, Konohamaru dreamed to be a Hokage. He kept on training to be stronger than anyone. At his young age, Nonohamaru establishes himself as a Jonin. Meaning he already meets one of the criteria to be a Hokage.

He is not as powerful as other candidates, but he is still young so there’s time for him to grow. The grandson of the third Hokage is well-known by other Jonin and the villagers.

He may replace Naruto as the eight Hokage or as the ninth.

3. Sasuke Uchiha

His ability, mind, and experience made him worthy of the Hokage seat. No to mention he is known as the shadow of Naruto, the second Hokage who work behind the screen. He also understands what needs to be done as a Hokage.

If Naruto dies during his fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki, the strongest candidate to be Hokage is Sasuke. The only thing that will keep him away from that seat is his past as a missing-nin, s-class criminal, and someone who threatens the peace of Konoha.

2. Shikamaru Nara

Another great candidate to replace Naruto is Shikamaru. As the assistant of Hokage, he knows what a Hokage has t do. His experience and knowledge will help him lead the village as the eight. It’s just his work ethic is still questionable as he is lazy.

1. Kakashi Hatake

The strongest ninja that may replace Naruto is the previous Hokage, Kakashi Hatake. Why? This happens once if you look a bit further behind. When Hiruzen Sarutobi, the third Hokage, replaces Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage when he died. Daimyo of the Land of Fire asks Hiruzen to take his old mantle back.

If Naruto dies, then they will ask Kakashi to return to the office again. Kakashi may become the temporary Hokage while Konoha is looking for the right candidate.
