Mathilda is the newest hero in Mobile Legends of a unique Class, Assassin-Support. As the first Assassin-Support in Mobile Legends, Mathilda certainly comes with her own strengths and weaknesses.

Pros

A Support with Great Damage

Even though she’s primarily a Support, Mathilda can dish out immense damage, she can even get a solo kill against certain heroes. Mathilda is also effective in pulling off ganks, and she can help to secure kills with ease.

Easy-to-Grasp Mechanics

While Mathilda is an Assassin-Support, she has a set of skills that are easy to learn and a simple combo. As long as you understand the effects and how to use her skills, you can use them effectively.

Brief CDs

Another strength that Mathilda has is her brief Cooldowns (CD). It suits her well as Mathilda relies heavily on her skills. With her short CDs and low mana cost, Mathilda can spam her skills as she pleases.

Has A Handy Set of Skills

One of the reasons that make Mathilda the best Support for now is her useful skillset that can greatly help her allies. She has Guiding Winds, which flies her allies toward her while also granting them bonus Movement Speed.

With this skill, Mathilda and her allies can chase down their targets easily.

Cons

Sub-Par Damage For An Assassin

While she can still dish out a good amount of damage and get solo kills, Mathilda’s damage isn’t as powerful as any other Assassins in general. Especially when she doesn’t have her Ultimate, Mathilda can’t make burst damage and can only poke her targets with Soul Bloom.

Not Capable of Being the Carry

Mathilda is able to inflict great damage and has brief CDs, yet she’s not powerful enough to become the team’s Carry. The reason is that Mathilda still relies on her teammates.

Lack of CCs

Another drawback of playing Mathilda is her lack of CCs, as she only has Circling Eagle, which allows her to knock back her targets. Therefore, Mathilda can’t disrupt her opponents as much as other Supports can.

Ineffective in Team Fights

Due to her lack of CCs and single-target skills, Mathilda is obviously less effective in massive team fights. It’s because her damage will be spread out to multiple targets, and she can’t inflict a massive amount of burst damage.
