In the Project NEXT update released by Mobile Legends on 22 September, several new roles were introduced, which brought some changes to Mobile Legends’ current META. One of the roles is Gold Laner.

Description

Gold Laner is a role that grants the hero more gold from the minions in the lane. With a hefty gold bonus, Gold Laner is highly recommended for a Carry or Marksman heroes who need a lot of gold to get their core items faster.

Usually, the Gold Laner will go solo in the early game so that the Roamer can help other lanes. When the game enters the mid or late phase, the Roamer will support the Gold Laner and keep them alive and away from the enemy Jungler.

As we’ve mentioned above, the Gold Lane is the most vulnerable lane to ganks. So, it’d be smart for the Gold Laner to play safe and stay away from the river area and instead get in bushes or their own Turret.

Tasks

The task of a Gold Laner is pretty simple, you just need to farm, farm, and farm until the late game arrives and try not to get killed so you don’t lose any wave.

However, the Gold Laner has to be extra cautious in the early game since usually, the enemy Jungler will rotate to the Gold Lane to pull off some ganks. You can anticipate it by staying close to your Turret, and try not to get baited to the river area.

In addition to that, the Gold Laner should also perform Turret push whenever they have the chance, and take down the enemy Turret shield for its additional gold to speed up their process of getting core items.

As stated before, Marksman heroes are the best choice to take the role of a Gold Laner so that they can get their core items early, and inflict massive damage on enemies. So, here are the recommended heroes.

Miya

Miya is a Marksman hero who just received a revamp recently. Miya is currently one of the most powerful Marksman heroes. Aside from her tremendous Damage, Miya also has great CC abilities.

Yi Sun-shin

The Marksman-Assassin is definitely more than capable to take the role of a Gold Laner because Yi Sun-shin can exert constant pressure on enemies. Yi Sun-shin is quite agile to avoid ganks easily and can dish out huge damage from afar.
