Rasengan is a difficult technique to master since it needs a deep understanding and control of chakra to spin it. Giving it a massive power, but keeping its round form. It turns out that Rasengan isn't just in plain blue! Wow, what are the colors Rasengan can be formed in? Let's see 9 creations of colorful Rasengan by Naruto.
9. Rasengan
As a comparison, this is the normal form of Rasengan usually performed by the ninjas who mastered this technique: light blue on the sides, darker in the middle, with a reel of chakra inside.
8. Tailed Beast Rasengan
Naruto was able to create purple-ish blue when he got face-to-face with Sasuke at the Valley of The End for the first time. The color of this Rasengan is a bit purple-ish cause its real blue color gets covered by the red chakra of the Nine-Tailed Beast.
7. 7 Colored Rasengan
Naruto's Rasengan once emitted 7 colors as in rainbows when he fought Doto Kazahana in Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in The Land of Snow, cause its light got reflected by Doto's chakra machine.
6. Gelel Rasengan
Mixing his chakra with the power of the Stone of Gelel, Naruto was able to launch Rasengan with a blue-ish green color. This attack has a burning effect on enemies. Naruto used it on the last part of Naruto the Movie: Legend of The Stone of Gelel.
5. Whirlwind Rasengan
Entirely created by Kurama's chakra. Therefore, this Rasengan got a fiery red-ish color and followed by chakra flows around it. This jutsu appeared in Naruto Shippuden The Movie: Bonds.
4. Crescent Rasengan
The unique purple Rasengan appeared in Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom. By combining crescent light, the size of this Rasengan got bigger and shines bright.
3. Bijuudama Rasengan
Before befriending and taming Kurama, Naruto struggled to create substitutes for Rasengan cause he couldn't perform Kage Bunshin or even Bijuudama. Utilizing chakra hand, Naruto created Bijuudama in Rasengan size colored plain black, since they both are similar in theory.
Nevertheless, after successfully befriended Kurama and able to create Bijuudama, Naruto left this technique behind although it has never been used in a fight.
2. Yellow Rasengan
In the colored manga version itself, on the last battle between Naruto and Sasuke, Masashi Kishimoto colored Naruto's Rasengan yellow. Possibly yellow is the color of Naruto's real chakra, which has been discussed when exercising with Jiraiya in Chapter 91.
1. Rasen Ring
This Rasengan wasn't really created by Naruto. Instead, it's a jutsu owned by Menma Uzumaki; 'The Other Naruto' which appeared in Obito's genjutsu world in Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie. Dark purple in color, Rasen Ring surrounded by rings like the planet Saturn. Menma used it to destroy Konoha.
Those were various types of colorful Rasengan that Naruto has launched before. You might be asking, "Where's Rasenshuriken Chakra Bijuu? Or Shakuton: Korin Shippu Shikkoku no Ya Zeroshiki (also known as Rasenshuriken + Kagutsuchi)?" Well, that's for another time. We will discuss other variants of Combination Rasengans and types of Rasenshuriken at another time. So, wait for another Naruto discussion from DuniaGames!
