Wolverine has been one of the most popular Marvel characters, bringing his fighting prowess to the X-Men, Avengers, and more. In a post on the PlayStation blog, Ryan Schneider of Insomniac Games said that when the developer studio was working on a Spider-Man game, they often talked about their idea of ​​making a game about Wolverine as well.

“Wolverine continually came up as the character we’d be really stoked to work on together,” said Schneider. The idea is reasonable because of some core similarities between Logan and Peter Parker. Schneider continued "Both heroes feel deeply compelled to defend people who are less able to do so."

As reported by Polygon, Marvel’s Wolverine is a stand-alone game, with Brian Horton as Creative Director and Cameron Christian as Game Director. Christian is also Game Director for Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Insomniac Games will present a potential storyline to use as inspiration for Marvel’s Wolverine in the works, although the teaser trailer includes some hints about some of the things fans can expect in the game.
