Burgess is known to be one of the 10 Titanic Captains of the Blackbeard or Kurohige pirate group. Burgess is also known to have been the first captain of the Kurohige pirates. There is an interesting fact about Jesus Burgess who always wears a mask in One Piece that you may not know.

In the One Piece Blue Deep: Characters World Databook, it is explained that one day Jesus Burgess' mask will come off and his real face will be revealed. So far, Burgess has always been seen wearing a mask to cover his face. Over time, the mask used by Burgess also changed.
