Recently, Aya Neo, a mobile gaming device company, has announced its newest product line that will compete with Steam Deck. Their latest products are Aya Neo 2 and Aya Neo Slide, portable PC gaming devices that will be coming this year.

Citing Theverge.com, these two portable PC gaming devices are powered by the upgraded Ryzen 7 6800U chip and the Radeon 680M GPU integrated with RDNA 2 graphics. In addition, the Radeon 680 iGPU is said to be capable of pushing up to 3.38 teraflops, more than twice The fold that Steam Deck can deliver is 1.6 teraflops.

The Ryzen 7 6800 Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) itself actually comes with eight cores and processes faster using the Zen 3 Plus architecture. And both devices from Aya Neo are also equipped with an integrated Radeon 680M iGPU which has 12 computing units (CU).

In comparison, the Steam Deck itself comes with a quad-core AMD APU that has a Zen 2 architecture and an iGPU with RDNA 2 graphics and eight CUs. Based on these specifications, the Aya Neo 2 and Aya Neo Slide have the potential to outperform the Steam Deck.

Neo 2 and Neo Slide can run Windows operating system (OS) with LPDDR5-6400 RAM support. For the Neo 2 variant, it has PCIe 4.0 storage, a USB 4.0 port and supports fingerprint scanner features. As for the variant for the Neo Slide, it has a screen that slides up to display an RGB backlit keyboard, like the one used by the Motorola Droid 4.

Unfortunately, Aya Neo has yet to announce a release date for the two mobile PC gaming devices. The company only says that the Aya Neo 2 and Aya Neo Slide will arrive at the end of 2022.
