Prior to the broadcast of Boruto episode 259, this week's Boruto episode 258 tells the story of Naruto who finally takes a vacation with his family after winning a holiday lottery at a hot spring. While on vacation, Shikamaru as the Hokage’s Chief Aide replaces Naruto. Shikamaru was approached by Mirai Sarutobi who had previously experienced supernatural events at the onsen that Naruto and his family were currently visiting.

Sure enough, it seemed that the supernatural disturbance at the old inn at the onsen had happened again and haunted the Hokage family. There appears to be a samurai ghost with a suit of armor appearing at the inn, Boruto, Himawari, and Kawaki are panicking because of the ghost's terror. What will happen in Boruto episode 259? Mitsuki's worries occur because Mikazuki has not been seen since Mitsuki, Boruto, Sarada, and Kawaki fought in the Land of Water. Sarada tries to calm Mitsuki down and says it's natural for a cat to go for a walk from her house.

However, Mitsuki is still worried about Mikazuki's whereabouts, he has to deal with the Anbu and the security forces of Konoha as well. Can Boruto and the rest of Team 7 help Mitsuki find Mikazuki?
