Which one of you is lucky enough to be the beta tester for Call of Duty Mobile? For those who aren’t lucky, it’s best to wait and pay attention to the required specs so this shooter game can run smoothly. Garena, as the distributor for COD Mobile in Indonesia just shared the information of the required spec for your smartphone to play the game by Tencent Games.

Citing a post from Garena Call of Duty Mobile Indonesia Official Facebook, to run Call of Duty Mobile smoothly, you need at least an Android smartphone with Dual Core 1.2Ghz CPU with 1,5GB RAM and a minimum of Android 4.3 Kitkat. While the minimum requirement fo iOS is iPhone 7 with iOS version 9.

Here is a detailed recommended and minimum specs for COD Mobile:

COD Mobile during CBT has a file size of 1,1 GB. But only the beta tester can download CBT COD Mobile for both Android and iOS. The testers for the CBT server are selected randomly because of the limited capacity. If you are not chosen then don’t worry because the account from the CBT server will be reset when the game officially launched.

From the comments by the tester in Call of Duty Mobile Indonesia Official Facebook, the game is very smooth when played from a smartphone middle-tier specs. One of the testers said that he uses ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 to play COD Mobile. Other tester said the game runs smoothly in Realme 3 and Redmi 5.

But many players find it annoying because the game is choppy on their device, even when the graphics quality is set to low. They said the RAM of their device is between 2GB to 3GB. 

During the CBT of COD Mobile, the tester can play some game modes; Team Deathmatch, Bomb Mission, Domination, and Battle Royale. But when trying the Battle Royale mode some tester complains that their device is not good enough to run the mode. But they can play other modes of COD Mobile just fine.

Judging by that, to run COD Mobile you need at least a smartphone with a middle-tier processor. A big RAM capacity doesn’t guarantee that COD Mobile can run smoothly, although RAM is also important to improve your gaming experience.  

To run COD Mobile smoothly on your device you need a middle-end smartphone with at least Snapdragon 630 chipset. Some testers using a device Snapdragon 625 and 4 GB RAM said that COD Mobile can still be enjoyed.
