5. Rampage (2018)

2. Pokemon Detective Pikachu (2019)

The second best movie on this list is Pokemon Detective Pikachu. Even though it once sparks debates because it doesn’t adapt the original video game story, this movie managed to gain a rating of 69% and once became the most successful video game to movie adaptation before taking over by Sonic.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Ken Watanabe, and Justice Smith, this movie tells about Tim Goodman who is attempting to reveal the truth behind his father’s mysterious disappearance after an accident. During his search, he meets with a weird, talking Pikachu who understands human language and promising Tim to investigate Tim’s missing father case.

1. The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019)

You are not the only one who shocked when seeing The Angry Birds Movie 2 becomes the best video game movie adaptation according to Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 73%. This movie stars Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Leslie Jones, and Bill Hader managed to beat all other 42 movies in this Rotten Tomatoes list.

In this sequel, all birds and pigs put out their differences to save the world. This movie managed to bring a fresh storyline that makes the audience laughing, both for those who have played the game or not.
