Bandai Namco Entertainment showed a trailer for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, the newest version of the fighting game of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle. This trailer announces that Wonder of U (Toru) from the eighth part of the JoJolion series will be the third DLC character of Season Pass 2 on Friday, December 8th 2023.

Season Pass 2 holders will get early access for this character on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. This second Season Pass includes three characters. Golden Wind's Leone Abbacchio debuted on September 1, 2023, and Diamond is Unbreakable's Yuya Fungami joined on October 20, 2023.

The first Season Pass has four characters. Risotto Nero from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind launches in October 2022. Rudol Von Stroheim from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency releases in February 2023.

Keicho Nijimura from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable joined in March 2023. A fourth character, Alternate World Diego Brando from Steel Ball Run, launched on June 16, 2023.

The game adds Weather Forecast and Father Pucchi (Final) from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean as free DLC characters in December 2022. The game was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in September 2022.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R comes in three editions: Standard, Deluxe Digital, and Collector's Bundle. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Animation Special Event Color Set, Season Pass, two exclusive costumes, and two-day early access to all Season Pass characters. Meanwhile, the Collector's Bundle features a 10-inch Jolyne Cujoh statue and an Animation Special Event Color Set.

This game expands the list of playable characters from 41 to 50 characters. In addition, this game updates the game system and adds a tag team "Support Attack" system. This update also matches the voice cast to the anime version since the original game was released.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R still includes characters from all eight arcs of Hirohiko Araki's original manga, including those that have not yet been adapted into anime, as well as Ikuro Hashizawa from Araki's BAOH manga. The original game was released in August 2013 for the PlayStation 3, developed by CyberConnect2 for Bandai Namco Games.
