HoYoverse's latest RPG, Honkai Star Rail, features numerous characters spread into different tiers. There are 4-Star and 5-Star characters from the characters tier list, with their respective paths. In this game, you can pull characters using the Warp system – which is the same as the gacha system in other games – to help you progress in the game. 1. Natasha

Natasha is a very valuable character to have as the team Healer with her path, The Abundance. Her healing is certainly helpful, but she can also be quite aggressive and act as an additional firepower for the team. The beautifully-designed character possesses a skill called Love, Heal, and Choose, that heals allies equals to 9% of max HP plus 60. You can focus on increasing her max HP to further boost her healing. Despite being a healer, she can also dish out a significant amount of damage with her Physical element.

2. Tingyun

Tingyun is an incredibly reliable Support as she can provide ATK boosts. The Lightning character who’s affiliated with The Harmony path can increase an ally’s ATK stat, does Lightning damage, and increases energy regen for the team. One of her skills, Soothing Melody, makes her a very useful Support. 

3. Asta

The Fire character can do AoE damage and has a Passive called Astrometry, which increases allies’ ATK by 7%. By gaining 5 stacks of Astrometry, you’ll gain up to 35% ATK boost. Aside from that, Asta synergizes well with other characters as she can provide powerful SPD and ATK buffs for the team.

4. March 7th

You can get this character early in the game with relative ease. The Ice character may be lacking in terms of damage output, yet you can use her as a Starter Tank whose Shield scales greatly with her Skills. She can make a great impact for the team early on your journey in Honkai Star Rail by absorbing damage.

5. Pela

The character who’s affiliated with The Nihility path is an Ice character who acts as a De-buffer, reducing the enemies’ Defense. Pela possesses a de-buff Ultimate that reduces enemies’ Defense by 30% and impairs them. Once her Ultimate is leveled up to level 10, she can reduce enemies’ Defense by up to 40%. She synergizes well with other characters, considering she can refill energy quickly after de-buffing enemies.

6. Herta 

This character can be obtained easily by completing a quest early in the game. Herta is an Ice character of The Erudition path. She’s a quite useful character to have who possesses skills that help her inflicts AoE damage. Her ability and Ultimate allow her to freeze enemies several times. On top of that, she can also launch follow-up attacks when enemies are on a break. 

7. Sushang

Sushang is a Physical character of The Hunt path who inflicts massive Area of Effect (AOE) damage. Aside from that, she can also dish out tremendous single-target damage at crucial moments. This is highly useful in boss fights. One of her skills, Cloudfencer Art: Mountainfall, allows her to dish out Physical Damage equal to 105% of her max ATK to a single target.
