Koe no Katachi or also known as The Silent Voice is one of the best anime films that is quite well-known globally. This anime film produced by Kyoto Animation has been released since 2016. The story tells of a character named Shouya who likes to bully his classmate who has a disability, Shouko Nishimiya. When Shouko's mother finds out about this, she decides to transfer her child to another school, so Shouya takes the blame for bullying her. Eventually, Shouya is ostracized by his friends until he becomes a teenager when teenage fate brings them to be reunited.

Although she loves her son very much, she is disappointed by what her son did to Shouko, and she also tries to make up for her son's mistake by replacing Shouko's hearing aid which was damaged by Shouya.

6. Miyoko Sahara

She is the figure of the first friend who is close to Shouko Nishimiya. Have learned sign language since elementary school from Shouko because they have been close since childhood. After being separated from the same elementary school because Shouko was always bullied, Sahara is finally able to meet Shouko again through Shouya. He is a classmate of Shouya Ishida and Tomohiro Nagatsuka. He is always interested in helping Tomohiro in making films for the contest he participates in because he wants to be the main character of the film. He is a friendly friend, fair and easygoing. He's also not afraid to stand up for others who need it. However, he can be quite violent when he is angry and shows such a contrasting side that makes him a bit scary. She is a supporting character who becomes the main antagonist in the film Koe no Katachi. She was Shouya Ishida's classmate in elementary school, she really wanted to help Shouya bully Shouko when they were little. After being separated for years and reuniting with Shouya, her affection for Shouya reappears. She was even very jealous and annoyed with Shouko when she found out that Shouya had feelings for Shouko. 3. Yuzuru Nishimiya

She is the younger sister of Shouko Nishimiya who is currently in middle school. Many often think of her as a boy because of her short haircut. Yuzuru is a sister who is very protective of her older sister and hates everyone who bullied her older sister, especially Shouya. But after knowing Shouya has changed, she slowly starts to accept Shouya and the two become closer. She has a pretty strange habit of taking pictures of dead animals. She does this to show her sister how horrible death was so that her sister would not commit suicide. She became a figure who managed to become a link between the Nishimiya family and the Ishida family.

2. Shouko Nishimiya

The main female character in Koe No Katachi who is the older sister of Yuzuru Nishimiya. She is a deaf student which makes her start to have a new view of life about her. She is also a figure who inspires many people, including the audience of this anime. Due to this deficiency, Shouko often faced difficulties communicating and relating to others as a child. Moreover, she was a victim of bullying by Shouya Ishida when she was in sixth grade.

But, because Shouko has a good personality, begins to accept Shouya with changes that happened to him when the two reunited. She gladly accepts his friendship and begins to experience good things when dealing with him. Due to her old wounds, she has a melancholy personality and hates herself, but Shouko begins to learn her worth with help from Shouya.

The main male lead in Koe No Katachi. He is a figure that quite inspires many people. Through Shouya, we can learn many valuable experiences. After he made the mistake of bullying Shouko in elementary school to the point she moved schools, Shouya began to experience psychic trials that made him abandoned a lot by his friends. He didn't hesitate to improve himself, he even tried to overcome his hatred and self-doubt.

This is also what finally made him able to build a friendship with Shouko, and started to make new friends throughout the story. Even though he used to be a bad person, his desire to be better is what ultimately drives the development of his character.
