Every anime has a main character who becomes the center of the story and is often virtuous and reliable. However, not all main characters in anime have a moral compass. So, what happens if the main character of an anime is actually an antagonist who does sinful things to get what they want? On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you a list of anime main characters who are actually the biggest villains in their story. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
1. Ken Kaneki - Tokyo Ghoul
Although he's not completely evil, whenever Kaneki embraces the ghoul side of him, he turns into a villain. Especially with his ferocity and the distinctive, eerie-looking leather mask. He didn't even hesitate to tear his friend Hideyoshi to pieces to increase his strength and fight monsters like Kishou Arima.
2. Lelouch vi Britannia - Code Geass
Lelouch held the hidden power known as Geass. With his strength and brilliant mind, he managed to become the leader of a rebel group called the Black Knights. His perspective contradicts his father's, who believes that humans must compete to be the best. Lelouch believes that the world should live in cooperation rather than conflict and competition. However, he was willing to commit atrocities to realize his dream. Killing and slaughtering people was no longer a problem for him if it was for the good of his cause.

3. Alucard - Hellsing Ultimate
Alucard is a vampire anti-hero who is arguably more of a villain than a hero. Alucard possesses exceptional strength that he has to restrain himself from using it or he would go on a rampage. His level of humanity is also very low, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist at all. He can still grieve or even show affection. But if you watch the OVA episode of Hellsing Ultimate, you will see that Alucard is a ferocious monster. He can kill people in the most heinous ways.
4. Yagami Light - Death Note
The main character of Death Note had always had a different perspective of life. He always thought that the world was rotten and boring, but his true feelings were hidden from others. His life immediately changed when he stumbled upon Death Note. He used Death Note to create a new world where only good people with pure hearts can live. Perhaps he did have good intentions, yet he did it by killing hundreds of criminals, giving himself the authority to end their lives. This began to turn him into a sadistic and psychopathic character who wouldn't even hesitate to kill anyone who gets in his way, even if he had to kill his own family.
5. Yuuichi Katagiri - Tomodachi Game
Yuichi is always willing to take any path to win the battle. Even if the path that he chooses is a vile one and puts others in danger. Yuichi doesn't care about that, as a matter of fact, the paths that he chooses even harm himself. He even almost killed Tenji in a game of hide-and-seek by leaving him in a cave. Yuichi becomes the main villain of the series as he likes to play dangerous games with unknown true intentions.
