New information about Silent Hill 2 Remake revealed by Konami. The game's main character, James Sunderland, will apparently have a different age compared to the original game. In the remake, James will be older.

Through an interview with IGN, Producer Motoi Okamoto said that James's age was deliberately made older in the remake version because it adapted to the fans. According to him, fans who used to play Silent Hill 2 are now older. Besides that, it also adapts to the demographics of today's game players.

The appearance of James Sunderland, who looks older, actually makes the game even more interesting because he looks more mature and has experienced a lot of suffering in his life. To be more immersive, the developer also used motion capture in designing James Sunderland. For the first time, voice acting in Japanese will also be available. So far, the Silent Hill game has only used English voice acting.

Apart from talking about characters and design, Okamoto also discussed opportunities for other Silent Hill games. Instead, he hopes that there will be other indie developers who want to make Silent Hill games. He even asked indie developers not to hesitate to send him a Silent Hill game project proposal to work on together.
