Here are some strengths and weaknesses of the recently released Mobile Legends hero, Xavier. Learn more about the new Mage in this article.
Mobile Legends | 30 March
Xavier is a new Mobile Legends hero who’s currently one of the most powerful ones in the game. This hero certainly comes with certain strengths and weaknesses that you should learn before starting to main him.
So, what are Xavier’s strengths and weaknesses in Mobile Legends? Without further ado, let’s get into it!
Pros
Tremendous Damage
Since he is a Mage, it’s not that surprising that Xavier can dish out a nasty amount of damage. With just a simple combo of his Mystic Field-Infinite Extension, Xavier can instantly drain a target’s HP.
Xavier can generate even more damage once his Passive reaches Stage 3 – as it grants 130% skill damage and reduces skill cooldowns for several seconds.
Excellent Poke Abilities
During the laning phase, Xavier can stay safe while dishing out damage from afar with his Infinite Extension. Once his target’s low on health, Xavier can then follow up with Mystic Field and Dawning Light to finish them off.
Strong Early Game
Xavier is a Mage who tends to dominate the early game as he can already generate a good amount of damage even without having any item.
Powerful CCs
Granted, Xavier lacks Hard Crowd Control in comparison to most Mages, yet his CCs are enough for him to give the opposing team a hard time.
With his Mystic Field and Infinite Extension, Xavier can immobilize targets for 1.5 seconds. Enemies hit by the effect won’t be able to move for the duration.
Strong in Duels and Team Fights
Xavier is a hero who excels in both duels and team fights considering that he can generate massive AoE damage with his skills. In other words, Xavier is a hero that excels in any situation.

Cons
Mana-Reliant
Since he’s a Mage who needs to spam his skills, Xavier can be quite mana-reliant. Therefore, he needs items to restore his Mana and last longer in fights.
Lacks Escape Tools
Most Mobile Legends Mages have at least one blink or dash skill that can help them escape. While others have no escape tools – and Xavier is one of them. Therefore, Xavier needs Flicker to give him some flexibility in crucial moments.
Limited AoE
Mobile Legends Mages tend to have AoE skills that can impact a vast area. Yet it’s not the case for Xavier since he lacks the range – making it difficult to attack multiple targets at once.
Complex Abilities
Xavier is one of the many Mobile Legends heroes who have complicated skill mechanics. There are so many variables that come into play to amplify Xavier’s damage output, for example, you need to reach Stage 3 of his Passive to get the 130% additional damage.
Sub-Par Defense
It’s no secret that Mages lack Defense in Mobile Legends. Xavier can be an easy target for the enemy Assassin.
