Monkey D. Dragon is a mysterious character in One Piece that has existed since episode 52, precisely when Luffy and his friends were in Loguetown. At that time Dragon came to stop Buggy who almost killed Luffy. This episode was released in 2000 which means that Dragon's voice actor is very old.

Dragon is voiced by Hidekatsu Shibata who is currently 86 years old. At his age, Shibata may not be able to shout too loudly. In the Egghead Island arc, there is a scene where Dragon will shout quite loudly. Given the age of the seiyuu, it is likely that Dragon's voice actor will be replaced later.

Monkey D. Dragon is Luffy's biological father who is also the leader of the Revolutionary Force. More than 20 years old, not much is known about Dragon. Even until now Oda still hasn't revealed his abilities. Many say that Dragon is the owner of the Logia ability that can control the weather.
