MPL ID S15 is taking a short break. After an exciting first three weeks filled with intense matches and unexpected moments, fans now have to be patient just as the action was heating up.

The full-season schedule for MPL ID S15 was set from the beginning, and if you’ve been paying attention, you might have noticed a particularly long gap in the timeline.

In fact, this might be the longest mid-season break in MPL ID history. While previous seasons also had breaks, they never exceeded two weeks.

This time, the break lasts for three weeks, with Week 4 of MPL ID S15 resuming on April 18.

So why is MPL ID S15 on such a long hiatus? What’s causing this extended break, leaving MLBB fans eagerly waiting for the action to return? There are two main reasons.

The Reasons Behind MPL ID S15’s Break

Two major events are responsible for the temporary break in MPL ID S15. These events are scheduled just a week apart, forcing MPL ID to adjust its schedule accordingly.

The first reason is Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran), which falls at the end of March, likely on March 31 or April 1. Traditionally, MPL ID always takes a break during Lebaran, typically lasting up to two weeks.

But why is the break even longer this time, extending to three weeks?

That’s because of the ESL Mobile Masters tournament, which takes place from April 11-13. This marks the first ESL event that brings multiple regions together in one competition.

Not only MPL ID, but MPL PH will also be on break during this period, as several PH teams will be competing in the ESL Mobile Masters as well.

Indonesia will be represented in ESL Masters by Bigetron Alpha, Team Liquid ID, ONIC, and RRQ Hoshi.

That explains the MPL ID S15 break. Teams not participating in ESL Mobile Masters will have to wait patiently while keeping an eye on their rivals competing in the tournament.
