A new rumor regarding Silent Hill has surfaced. Konami as the owner of the horror game IP was found to have renewed the Silent Hill game patent.

This information was first revealed on Reddit. An account by the name of LongJonSliver shared a screenshot of the patent page that Konami is currently updating. On the page is written the name Silent Hill.

One of the users who commented on LongJonSliver's thread then provided another related link. The link comes from the Chizai-Watch website which records Konami's Silent Hill patent renewal process. It was revealed that Konami had just renewed the patent from Silent Hill on March 15th. This process is also carried out directly at the Patent Legalization Institute in Japan.
