Shocking news comes from the 88 Degrees & Rising Festival. The music festival, which was set to showcase various performers from the 88 Rising label, has been canceled.

The cancellation of the 88 Degrees & Rising Festival was officially announced via an Instagram post by HITC Jakarta. The reason for the cancellation was cited as unforeseen circumstances, but HITC Jakarta did not specify in detail what those unforeseen reasons were.

"It is with regret that we inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, the 88 Degrees & Rising Jakarta concert will not take place this year," wrote the @hitcjakarta account.

Given that tickets had already been sold, the label further stated, "All tickets will automatically be refunded to the point of purchase. We love our fans in Indonesia and can't wait to bring you a grand show in 2024."

The 88 Degrees & Rising Festival was originally set to be held at JIExpo Kemayoran on September 9, 2023. Jakarta was to be the first city in Asia to experience the music festival. Tickets had been on sale since August 10, 2023, with the cheapest ticket priced at Rp880,000 for the Presale GA category. Meanwhile, the most expensive ticket was Rp2,560,000 for the Regular VIP category.

The event was also expected to feature several rising Asian musicians such as Rich Brian, NIKI, XG, MILLI, Stephanie Poetri, Warren Hue, ATARASHII GAKKO!, and SPENCE LEE.

However, fans need not worry as HITC Jakarta added, "We love our fans in Indonesia and are eager to bring you a fantastic performance in 2024."
